Exploring the history and development of Bibler Gardens and the Bibler Foundation, this exhibition tells the story of Sam and Jean Bibler, a Kalispell couple whose historic property became home to Sam’s life-long passion for gardening. The gardens, with extensive floral arrangements, ponds, waterfalls, sculptures, arboretum, and a hand-hewn log stable filled with a menagerie of miniature animals; were managed and cared for by Sam until his death in 2002. Now, the Bibler Foundation maintains the land according to the couple’s desire for preservation of the site’s lasting beauty so that it could be enjoyed by the Kalispell community and area visitors for years to come. This exhibition highlights the contributions of the Bibler family in their work on the Conrad Mansion, Four Corners Area cleanup, Woodland Park Lagoon, and many other projects that benefited the valley. View rugs, antique woodwork, sculptures, prints, photographs, and paintings from the personal collection of Sam and Jean Bibler in this exhibition.
On view from December 9th, 2017 through February 10th, 2018.
This exhibition is sponsored by the Bibler Foundation and Whitefish Credit Union.
