Traveling Medicine Show

A Collaborative Project with the Artists and Educators of the Blackfeet Indian Nation for Grades K-12

Smokey-Rides-At-The-Door-_-Muldown-Elementary-Schl-Student-with-shield

Featuring ancient, traditional, and contemporaryart and artifacts chosen in collaboration between the Hockaday Museum of Art and members of the Blackfeet Indian Nation. Explorations begin with an exhibition of more than 150 items accompanied by a special presentation about cultural, historic, and contemporary connections. When possible visits include participation by Blackfeet artist or tribal cultural consultant.

Each visit is custom-crafted for the participating school or group and may include:

  • Artist demonstrations
  • Art projects
  • Traditional games
  • Other student activities

Cost:  Scholarships available based on need
