Arts in the Park is the Flathead Valley’s longest running, premier arts, crafts and music festival held in Kalispell’s historic downtown Depot Park. Stroll through the festivals’ over 80 juried artists and artisans booths from around the country offering one-of a kind, quality handmade paintings, jewelry, ceramics, housewares, and more for sale.
Relax on the lawn while listening to live musicians and entertainers performing on the Depot Park Outdoor Stage. Enjoy delicious food and beverages from your favorite vendors from around the valley. It’s fun for all ages!
All ticket sales proceeds directly support the Hockaday’s educational art exhibitions and programs!

What does volunteering look like?
Volunteering can look like many different things, depending on what shift you work and what abilities you have. It may mean assisting in event setup and teardown, checking in visitors at event entrances and recieving payment for tickets as a Gate Greeter, helping organize vendor booth locations, distributing event maps to guests, or working the Hockaday Information Booth. There is something for everyone who is willing to help!
Can I sign up for more than one shift?
Of course! We appreciate all the help we can get and are happy to have volunteers for multiple shifts and/or days.
Do I receive anything in return for volunteering?
On top of the fulfilling feeling of supporting your local art community, you will also receive an Arts in the Park tote bag, apron, and entrance into a special volunteer gift basket drawing. As thanks for your time volunteering with us, you’ll also gain free, ulimited entry into the AIP event for the duration of the weekend, allowing you to enjoy vendors showcasing handmade paintings, jewelry, ceramics, sculptures, housewares and more for sale as well as live musicians and entertainers’ performances on the outdoor stage.
Where is Arts in the Park located, and where can I park?
AIP is located in Depot Park, Main Street, Kalispell MT 59901. If you’re taking a vehicle to the event, volunteer parking will be provided at Super 1 Foods parking lot. There may also be street parking.
How old do I have to be to volunteer?
Students 13 years and older with adult chaperones are encourgaed to volunteeer! Adults 18 and older are welcome to volunteer alone or sign up with a friend or family member. Only volunteers age 21+ may volunteer at the Beer & Wine Garden.
Do I have to volunteer for all three days?
No! While we greatly value our volunteers who choose to help out during the entire weekend, we understand you might only be able to give a few hours of your time. We welcome volunteers to come for a few hours, one day, or the whole event – whatever you’re able to do.
