This exhibition features a survey of recent original paintings of beloved Flathead Valley artist Nancy Dunlop Cawdrey. Cawdrey draws inspiration for her work from the the land and animals in some of her favorite places in Montana and beyond. She paints using a variety of media, and is best known for her colorful works on silk. Split into two galleries, this exhibition showcases Nancy’s ‘Forever Glacier’ project in one gallery, highlighting the wildlife of Glacier National Park, and a retrospective of her career as an artist in the other gallery.

Nancy Cawdrey will serve as this month’s guest facilitator for Crits & Croissants. Participants may bring one or two of their own recent artworks to share and recieve feedback from fellow artists and the guest facilitator. Coffe, tea, and pastries are served along with constructive discussion. $10 non-members, $5 members. For more information:

Artist Tour – Friday, May 26, 11:30am
Join Nancy on a personal tour of the Peaks, Plains, and Beyond exhibit, where she’ll discuss the Forever Glacier proejct, the retrospective of her work, and her journey as an artist. Tour is free with museum admission in conjunction with our monthly Senior Tour and Tea!
Artist Talk & Demo: Silk Painting – Thursday, June 8, 5:30-7:00pm
Nancy Cawdrey will give a talk about her current exhibition as well as a demonstration to show the various techniques and sequence of painting with dye on silk. Suggested donation $5.
